What this website stores on your device, and what it doesn't. Last reviewed 5 October 2026.
The short version
Most of this website sets no cookies at all. A small number of pages we use for advertising — our Verkada service pages — can use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how our adverts perform. They load only if you click Accept on the banner. If you click Reject, nothing is set.
Why those pages ask first
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations requires your consent before anything that is not strictly necessary is stored on, or read from, your device. Measuring adverts is not strictly necessary, so we ask.

What is set if you accept
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are read. Up to 2 years.
- _gcl_* — Google Ads, to tell us whether an advert led to an enquiry. 90 days.
- _fbp — Meta (Facebook), for the same purpose on Meta adverts. 90 days.
- A note in your browser’s storage that you arrived from a Google advert, so the phone number shown matches the advert.
Your accept or reject choice is itself remembered in your browser’s storage for 180 days so we do not ask on every page.
What we do record
We record which pages are read and an approximate town and organisation derived from the IP address, entirely on our own server. That is explained in full in the privacy notice. It involves nothing stored on your device.
Third parties
Apart from the advertising tools above, which load only with your consent, this site loads no third-party trackers or advertising. The enquiry form posts to a form relay, which sees only what you type into it.
If you follow a link to another site — including segcore.co.uk, segplc.com or verkada.com — their cookie practices are their own.
